Cape Cod & Islands Military Veterans
Mission and Vision

MISSION
To develop, maintain and update a centralized, on-line listing of the collaborative network of organizations and agencies which provide assistance, services and information to military, veterans and their families on Cape Cod.
VISION
A centralized on-line listing of a collaborative network of the multiple organizations and agencies which provide assistance, services and information to military, veterans and their families on Cape Cod and the Islands. This publication (website) will specifically identify the services offered by each of the participating collaborative members in the areas of Housing, Jobs, Health, Family Support and Education. The centralized location of the names of all veteran support organizations on the Cape, along with the services they provide, and links to their own websites, will ease the access to these services by the veterans, military and families, as well as create an accurate data base for referrals by all service providers.
RATIONALE for COLLABORATIVE
Multiple private groups and public agencies are working diligently to serve veterans, military and families on the Cape and Islands. All of these groups provide valuable services, but because the work of each is not known by all, their services often overlap or go underutilized due to lack of public awareness. By all service providers collaborating to identify their specific contributions and discovering ways in which they can support each other’s efforts, we can maximize the positive impact and benefits to our local veterans. By easing their navigation of all the services available them, we will create an even more supportive, veteran-friendly Cape Cod Community for our 26,000 residents who are re-entering the communities they have sacrificed dearly to serve.
