Cape Cod Chamber of Commerce

The Cape Cod Chamber of Commerce supports budding startups as well as centuries old companies with guidance, support, access to funding, training grants, marketing assistance and more. Cape Cod is an official Startup Week end Site, offering entrepreneurs a weekend to take a business from concept to funding pitch in 56 hours.  Workshops and lending options are available from our sister company Coastal Community Capital. Additional guidance is offered by  our Entrepreneur in Residence Peter Karlson.

Cape Cod Children’s Museum

Cape Cod Children’s Museum offers FREE admission to military personnel with a military ID and always 50% for accompanying children.

All daily programming is always free with admission.

Cape Cod Children’s Museum is presently developing a "Get Up and Move" creative movement program incorporating health and nutrition, yoga and music specifically for military children and families.  The Cape Cod Foundation

 The Cape Cod Foundation currently administers more than 65 active scholarship funds totaling approximately $7.6 million in principal. The Foundation’s scholarship office coordinates all scholarship activity and provides students, parents and school officials with an available resource for scholarship information.

Cape Cod Military Support Foundation Inc.

The Cape Cod Military Support Foundation provides scholarships to military personnel spouses and dependents and helps with support for continuing education to all active duty and guard personnel in conjunction with Cape Cod Community College and Mass Maritime Academy.

The Falmouth Military Support Group

The Falmouth Military Support Group (FMSGrp) has a scholarship Fund, with monies earmarked to assist OIF/OEF Veterans from Cape Cod in their pursuit of educational opportunities. Awards are $500 and $1000. Applications are available online and through our website starting April 1st and close July 31st. Award letters are sent out September 1st.In the last several years we have awarded over $30,000 in Scholarship money

Massachusetts National Guard Family Program

The MANG FPO (MA National Guard Family Program) enhanced the regional concept of support with the addition of regionally based teams that address Assistance, Readiness and Resiliency for all our Servicemembers, Veterans, Military Families and Youth and Survivor Families in the state of Massachusetts. The MANG FPO's mission is to establish a viable Family Readiness Network which identifies multiple local, state and federal resources; empowers Military Families; enhances Quality of Life; and ensures both Guard and Family resiliency to promote the best in both.

The advisor provides advice to student veterans concerning military benefits and educational opportunities and acts within Cape Cod Community College as a liaison between the Department of Veterans Affairs, the community and the individual veteran.

The National Graduate School of Quality Management

 

The National Graduate School of Quality Management (NGS) has been part of the Falmouth and Cape Cod community for nearly 20 years. NGS is a non-profit, regionally accredited college by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges as a professional practice institution with a national footprint. NGS offers a 12-month Master’s Degree in Quality Systems Management onsite in Massachusetts.  NGS has a long history of catering to the unique needs of military personnel with flexible schedules and personal counseling.  The Financial Aid and Bursar’s offices are well-informed on the many benefits available to active-duty military, veterans, retirees and their spouses, including the Post-9/11 and Montgomery GI bill®, Tuition Assistance programs, Top-Up, etc.  Discounted tuition is also available to members of the military and their spouses. All interested military personnel are encouraged to go to The National Graduate School web site at www.ngs.edu for more information. The Master of Science Degree in Quality Systems Management program will be held at the NGS headquarters in Falmouth starting on March 30.

Nicholas G. Xiarhos Fund

The Nicholas G. Xiarhos Memorial Fund is designed to support local military families, wounded warriors and their families in need of financial assistance as well as variety of other needs.  The fund also provides education scholarships.

OTIS CIVILIAN ADVISORY COUNCIL, INC.

The Otis Civilian Advisory Council, Inc. serves as a liaison between the military and the surrounding communities.  Programs include: four $1,000 scholarships annually to deserving dependents of members of the various military commands assigned to the Massachusetts Military Reservation (MMR) and U.S. Coast Guard Sector Southeastern New England based in Woods Hole.

The TGC Fund

Is a donor advised Fund provided by the Cape Cod Foundation as a result of a fundraising golf tournament hosted at The Golf Club of Cape Cod. The TGC Fund provides 2 scholarships ( 1 male and 1 female) to the child of a veteran in their Junior or Senior year of College. The Scholarship was developed n memory of Brig. General John Flanagan who was instrumental in the inception of the TGC for The Troops fundraising event.

Thunderbird Classic Scholarship

The Thunderbird Golf Classic was founded in 2007 in memory of Daniel Joseph Foley ’75 of Mass Maritime Academy. The memorial scholarship is awarded annually to a current MA Maritime Academy cadets who are dependents of an active duty member of the U.S. Armed Forces. Working with the MMA Foundation the Thunderbird Golf Classic funds this scholarship.  The plan is to grow the fund to an endowed state to perpetuate the scholarship annually.  For more information contact Doug Foley ‘81

VET CENTER PROGRAM – Hyannis

We welcome home war Veterans with honor by providing quality readjustment counseling in a caring manner.  We provide a broad range of counseling, outreach, and referral services to eligible Veterans and their family members.  We can meet with you individually to explain and help you apply for the GI Bill and VA Vocational Rehabilitation Program.

All services are free and confidential to eligible Veterans.

Additionally, individual and group counseling for trauma, readjustment, substance abuse, sexual trauma, employment, marital and family issues, and bereavement are offered.
